Hofstra University

The Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies offers two Master of Science degrees with a major in nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner and Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner.  Each program can be completed in three years of part-time study.  In keeping with a competency-based, interprofessional framework, the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies utilizes pedagogies that emphasize an active, adult-learning environment.

In partnership with Northwell Health, the school leverages the robust network of clinical sites, diverse expert clinicians, and clinical resources in order to guarantee clinical placements for students.  Clinical resources include:

  • Simulation lab activities at the Patient Safety Institute
  • Encounters with standardized patients at the Clinical Skills Center
  • Practicing procedural skills at the Bioskills Education Center

The University of Dubuque

The University of Dubuque (UD) in Dubuque, Iowa along the beautiful Mississippi river has open slots for its incoming BSN Fall 2016 nursing class (graduating in May 2018). UD has an NCLEX pass rate of 85-95%, we specialize in small classes, and provide the individual attention you may need. Requirements include a 3.0 GPA. Columbia College of Nursing

Openings still available for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program for fall 2016! Columbia College of Nursing (CCON) offers guaranteed clinical placements and no waiting lists.  The CCON BSN Program is an upper division “2 plus 2” program.  Students complete their first 60 prerequisite and general education credits at accredited institutions of higher learning.  Upon successful completion, students can be admitted directly into the nursing program, where the final 60 nursing credits for the BSN degree are completed.  See the CCON BSN Program NursingCAS page for more information, or visit www.ccon.edu.


The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio

The University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio is Accepting Applications for Fall 2016 Entry for its Post-Graduate Certificate in Education and DNP programs.

The Office of Admissions has available space in its the Post-Graduate Certificate in Nursing Education and DNP (with the exception of the Public Health track) programs for fall 2016 entry and the application deadline is May 2, 2016.

American University of Beirut

American University of Beirut has available space in its BA/BS-BSN Accelerated Second Degree program.

The American University of Beirut (AUB) Rafic Hariri School of Nursing, located overseas in Beirut, Lebanon, is now accepting applications through NursingCAS for its BA/BS-BSN Accelerated Second Degree program.

The deadline for this program is May 10, 2016 (11:59 PM Eastern Time). Those applying must have a prior bachelor’s degree in a discipline other than nursing and you must complete your prerequisite course requirements prior to admission namely Engl 203, 204, PSYC 201 (Introduction to psychological Sciences), Biostatisticscourse, PSYC 210 (Life Span Developmental Psychology), SOAN 201 (Introduction to Sociology), and four elective courses.

Harding University’s Carr College of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner
(MSN) program has extended its application deadline to *May 1, 2016*.

The curriculum is presented in a hybrid, online format with required

Roseman University of Health Sciences

Greetings from Roseman University of Health Sciences!

Roseman University of Health Sciences South Jordan, UT campus has extended its deadline for our upcoming August Cohort.   Roseman University offers an 18-month Bachelor of Science in Nursing program  designed to prepare students for entry level registered nurse positions in a variety of health care environments. In addition to our 18-month BSN program, we also offer a 9 month RN-BSN program entirely online. Graduates will use critical thinking skills for effective problem solving, decision making, and independent judgment to provide culturally competent and developmentally appropriate care in the practice of nursing and to function as a member of a health care team.

We have extended our deadline to June 1, 2016 for the following program:

Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions

Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions has seats available for the following programs:

  • Post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice–Family Nurse Practitioner (Cohort begins August 2016)
  • Post-Master’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (Cohort begins August 2016)

The early application deadline is May 27, 2016 and the final application deadline is July 18, 2016.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program at RMUoHP is designed to prepare graduates for advanced clinical practice and leadership roles. Two tracks are offered including the post-baccalaureate entry with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) focus and a post-master’s entry. Both tracks are blended (Online and on-site education requirements) see curriculum for on-site dates.

Recently, Dr. Stephanie Richardson assumed the role of Program Director. New Programs

 

Marian University

Marian University is a co-educational, Catholic university that inspires personal and professional success through engaging, values-based education.  Marian University is excited to announce the August, 2016, opening of the Center for Health Professions. This state-of-the-art 25,000 foot facility will house our nursing program and is comprised of a top-of-the-line simulation center, four simulators, three standardized patient rooms, three well-equipped classrooms, a skills lab, and a health assessment lab.

Additionally, your faculty and support staff are located in the same building for ease of access, including Marian’s nursing learning specialist (NLS).  Our nursing programs include pre-licensure, RN-BSN fully online, RN-MSN, MSN with specialties in Family Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Educator, and a post graduate certificate in Nursing Education also fully online.  Our RN-BSN online program can be completed in as little as 15 months.


This NursingCAS Application Cycle Closes on August 15, 2016

Attention, the current NursingCAS application will officially close on August 15, 2016 and that is the last date for deadlines for the current cycle. It’s important to note that if you are applying to programs with an August deadline that you must get your transcripts in by August 19 since that is the last date for processing for this cycle. Some programs may have adjusted their deadline date so please be sure to log into your application and click on the “Submit Application” tab at the top to view any potential changes.
