Transportation Information

• Map, click on the SMU icon on the map
  • Directions – There is only one entrance into the building; the elevators are around to your left as you enter the building.  Please take the elevators to the 4^thOnce you exit the elevators on the 4^th floor, there will be signs directing you to the rooms.
• Parking, you will want to park in Garage B. There are multiple entrances to the garage; please use the entrance at Hawthorne and Elm. There is an automatic “arm” that will lift as you pull out a ticket, please bring that ticket in with you to the meeting.
  • You may park in any legal space in the multi floor parking garage and every floor has an elevator. Please remember what level you are parked on. There are multiple elevators in the garage and you will want to utilize the elevators that are marked for TELEGRAPH AVENUE only. Take the elevators to level B3. Essentially the parking garage is behind building #5 where we will be meeting. You need to walk towards Telegraph Avenue and the entrance to the building.
  • Parking rates: Daily Rates for Visitors are $1.50 per 20 minutes, Max Rate $18 per day. The garages take cash or check only; no credit cards. There is not a convenient ATM on the SMU campus, so please bring the required cash with you.
• Public Transportation – the closest Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) station is McArthur.
  • Alta Bates Summit Medical Center (ABSMC) runs a shuttle service between MacArthur BART Station and the campus on a daily regular schedule, Monday through Friday.
• Closest Airport is the Oakland International Airport (OAK), which is approximately 20 minutes away depending on traffic. Other options are the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) which is about 30 minutes away depending on traffic or the San Jose International Airport (SJO) which is about 1 hour away depending on traffic. Super Shuttle.
• Train: Jack London Square (approximately 10 minutes from the station)
• Uber or Oakland Yellow Cab (510-658-2222)
