Palm Beach Atlantic University
Palm Beach Atlantic University School of Nursing announces the addition of an upper-level track BSN program at our Orlando Campus. The program complements the University’s current nursing degree offerings and responds to the demand for baccalaureate-prepared nurses to provide better patient outcomes and reduce the total cost of care.

The Orlando campus upper level track BSN program is a traditional 16-week daytime format. This program will allow students who have already taken their science requirements to enter into upper-level nursing courses and complete the program in about two and half years. Our BSN program offers students a holistic approach to the nursing profession where you’ll have abundant opportunities to apply what you learn in local hospitals, clinics, and community outreach programs.

Applicant transcripts will be reviewed for transfer credits and an initial degree plan developed. Although an AA degree or prior bachelor’s degree is preferred, it is not a requirement. With our BSN/MSN dual enrollment option, students can complete up to two graduate level courses that will be applied toward the completion of our MSN. With this greater efficiency, students can lower the overall cost of earning both degrees. Pursing a graduate degree in nursing broadens opportunities in clinical or administrative settings.

For more information on the Orlando BSN program visit our website or contact our Orlando Campus Admissions Counselor, Martha Christlieb.

University of Cincinnati

DNP & Post-Bachelor’s Certificate in Public Health Nursing

The need for public health nurse leaders is expected to grow significantly in the coming decade due to the increasing frequency of natural and environmental disasters and public health emergencies, climate change, an aging population, and growing concerns about health disparities and social justice issues. COVID-19 has revealed deep gaps within an already fragmented U.S. health care system, heightening the need for team-based care, infection control, person-centered care, and other skills that capitalize on the strengths of nurses.

The DNP in Public Health Nursing prepares nurses to apply knowledge, skills, and abilities to respond to these events using evidence from research to design, implement, and evaluate population-based interventions and to lead efforts to advance public health initiatives at the local, state, tribal, federal and global levels. This program has Advanced Public Health Nursing and Occupational Health Nursing tracks (both tracks use the same application).

The Post-MSN Public Health Nursing Certificate enhances your nursing education, increasing your job prospects and helping you better serve your community. The four 100% online courses can either be taken alone or in conjunction with any DNP, MSN, Post-MSN NP, or PhD program. If adding to another program at UC, we can do this in NursingCAS for no extra cost or extra documents! Email Bobby.Rue@uc.edu for details.

REQUIREMENTS: No RN experience required!

Students with no RN experience at the time of the start of the program are expected to work as an RN for at least the first year of the program

  • DNP recommended GPA of 3.25
  • Post-MSN Certificate recommendation GPA 3.0
  • Visit the UC Nursing DNP Admissions or Certificate Admissions pages for deadlines & other requirements
