The NursingCAS Applicant Newsletter is a monthly newsletter intended to keep you informed about programs with available space, deadline extensions, and new programs added to NursingCAS. The newsletter will feature:
Applicants can also view the NursingCAS Events Calendar, where NursingCAS schools provide prospective students with information on events like upcoming webinars and information sessions throughout the application cycle.
The 2023 – 2024 NursingCAS Application Cycle will open on August 10, 2023. The last date to submit to the 2022 – 2023 Cycle is January 31, 2024. You will need to submit your application for the current cycle by 11:59 PM EST on January 31 for it to be considered by your program of interest (note you must abide by your selected program’s deadline). Once the 2023 – 2024 NursingCAS application cycle opens on August 10 you will be able to create a new account or log back into an existing account using the “Re-Applicant” feature. The Re-Applicant Feature allows you to carry over your data and transcripts from your previous NursingCAS application to the 2023 – 2024 application. The “Re-Applicant” feature is available to all users who had an active NursingCAS account during the previous application cycle regardless of whether your application was verified or even submitted to a program during that time. To simplify the transition to the new cycle, frequently asked questions and answers are outlined on our website. Reminder: 2022-2023 Academic Update Window open through August 26 The 2022-2023 Spring/Summer Academic Update (AU) window opened on Friday, May 26 and will close on Saturday, August 26.
Please review and complete the three-step process to submit an AU request by the designated deadline above. The AU allows applicants to update final grades for previously entered planned/in-progress coursework (i.e. Spring 2023) or enter newly planned coursework (i.e. Fall 2023) since NursingCAS verification. Applicants are eligible for AU if at least one of their programs is in ‘Verified’ status by the AU request deadline. Application status can be viewed under the Check Status tab in NursingCAS. Upon submission of the AU request, NursingCAS will verify the applicant’s new grades, calculate an updated GPA, and send this information to their programs. While an AU is optional, some programs require this information for admissions consideration. Students are encouraged to submit their request for new transcripts to their Registrar’s Office ASAP to allow plenty of processing/mailing time. Questions?
