The NursingCAS Applicant Newsletter is a monthly newsletter intended to keep you informed about programs with available space, deadline extensions, and new programs added to NursingCAS. The newsletter will feature:

  • Open Seats: One of the benefits of NursingCAS is to provide notifications to applicants about programs that have available space. Review the listing below to determine if you would like to apply to one of these programs.
  • Deadline Extensions: Programs often extend their deadlines in order to allow applicants more time to complete the admissions process. Review the list below to see if any programs you are interested in have extended their deadline.
  • New Programs: New programs are added to NursingCAS on a continual basis. Discover and learn about new program offerings available to you by reviewing the listings below.

Register to attend the Discover Nursing Virtual Fair on Thurs., Nov. 17 (10 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST)! Last year, students chatted with over 110 nursing schools. This FREE event allows students to connect with multiple schools and speak with nurses, faculty, admission teams, and nursing students. Information on admission requirements, prerequisites, and the application process will be available for all degrees (undergraduate, graduate, and certificate).

During the Fair, attendees will be able to:

  • Chat with nurses, admission representatives, faculty, and current students
  • Discover what makes nursing one of the top health professions
  • Explore which nursing school is the right fit for them

Harding University

Apply NOW – Master of Science in Nursing Programs: Family Nurse Practitioner or Master’s Entry Level into Professional Nursing *Application Open*

Scholarships available for eligible admitted students!

Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner: Available to registered nurses with a Bachelor of Science in nursing, this program prepares family nurse practitioners for outpatient settings across the lifespan. The program consists of online courses with on-campus intensives three times throughout the entire program. Part-time and full-time tracks are available. Now admitting in Fall, Spring, & Summer!

Post-graduate Certificate – Family Nurse Practitioner: This option is available to registered nurses or advanced practice registered nurses with a Master of Science in nursing in another area. Students may complete up to 32 credit hours in the program. Upon completion of required courses, students are eligible to sit for the family nurse practitioner national certification exam.

Master of Science in Nursing – Master’s Entry into Professional Nursing: Harding offers the first prelicensure program in Arkansas, preparing students to become advanced entry-level professional nurses who graduate with a Master of Science in nursing. The master’s entry into professional nursing will include a focus on health care administration and leadership. The five-semester program is offered year-round. King University has open seats for Spring 2023 in our pre-licensure BSN program. Students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as they meet eligibility requirements.

  • King University has small class sizes with no more than 40 students per cohort.
  • NCLEX pass rate is above the national average.

MGH Institute of Health Professions

Misericordia University

Misericordia University Graduate Nursing Program is part of a private liberal arts institution whose main campus is in Dallas, PA. California State University, East Bay

We are now accepting applications for Fall 2023 through June 1, 2023. The CSU East Bay’s online/hybrid MSN program offers two practice concentrations: Nursing Education & Nursing Leadership and Administration.

The program offers high quality, accessible, online graduate education over four semesters as well as annual two-day campus immersion meetings that give critical support for student success. Graduates in Nursing Education will be well-equipped to work as educators in clinical or academic settings. Graduates in the Leadership & Administration Concentration will be prepared for mid-level management and leadership positions in a variety of healthcare settings.

DNP Occupational Health

Occupational health advanced-practice nurses plan, implement, and track health and safety programs and services to employees, worker populations, and association groups. Acting as advocates for the rights of employees, OHNs work closely with employers and management to ensure that health and safety standards are met and employee productivity and overall health safety are maximized in corporate, industrial, governmental, or academic settings. OHNs hold multi-faceted positions ranging from clinicians to educators, case managers to corporate directors, and consultants.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Occupational Health Nursing prepares nurses to apply knowledge, skills, and abilities to use evidence from research to plan, implement, and track health and safety programs and services to employees, worker populations, and association groups.

FUNDING

UC offers generous funding, such as the Nurse Faculty Loan Program (NFLP), the Graduate Incentive Award (GIA), and we are planning special NIOSH funding for the DNP Occupational Health program!

REQUIREMENTS

  • One year of RN experience at the time of application
  • Recommended GPA of 3.25
