The CSU East Bay’s online/hybrid MSN program offers two practice concentrations: Nursing Education and Nursing Leadership & Administration. The program offers high quality, accessible, online graduate education over four semesters as well as annual two-day campus immersion meetings that give critical support for student success. Graceland University opened a new start date for our DNP program. Interest for our fully Online Clinical Leadership DNP Program exceeded our expectations, so we have decided to open an additional start date on January 4, 2021. Schreiner University’s 2020 BSN Graduate NCLEX Pass Rate was 100% for the 3rd year in a row. Prospective students may apply to the Schreiner Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program starting November 2, 2020. Interviews and Rolling Admission Cycles will begin in January 2021. Claflin University
Claflin University has received approval from SACSCOC to offer a Master of Science in Nursing program. Applications are now open and the first cohort will begin Fall 2021. Medical University of South Carolina
The Medical University of South Carolina is now offering the 1st Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Lifespan Palliative Care in the country. The Post-Master’s DNP in Lifespan Palliative Care program offers an opportunity for advanced practice nurses to obtain expertise and gain a deeper understanding of the physical, psychological, spiritual, and social needs of patients and families living with serious illness throughout the lifespan. Like all our graduate programs, the palliative care track will be offered in an accessible, asynchronous online format.
The curriculum is designed to be completed in five semesters and will prepare the graduate to use analytical methods to improve quality and safety in healthcare systems through organizational leadership, systems thinking, and practice management in palliative care. Students will meet eligibility requirements to take the Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (ACHPN) certification exam. Advanced practice registered nurses with a DNP in palliative care will fill an important gap in access to evidence-based, high-quality care for individuals with serious illness and their families. The specialized training in palliative care in addition to an added emphasis on disease prevention and health management will ensure our graduates are fully prepared to be leaders in palliative care.
