New Search Field to Filter Application Fields List
The following features now include a Search field that helps you quickly locate fields used to build your templates:

Zip Code Added as Scorable Field in Scoring Models
You can now include the Permanent Mailing Address Postal Code field within scoring models. This allows you to award additional points to an applicant based on their residence. Note that this field is a string field, and you must build a point table to use it with your scoring model.
Annual Fall Lookup Tables
Many fields in the Applicant Portal contain predefined answer values that applicants can select; for example, the Country and County fields both have predefined answer values. These values are housed in shared “lookup tables.” Periodically, these tables are updated to include additional response options.
The new lookup table values include updates to colleges, degrees, languages, and majors. Review the Shared Lookup Table Updates page for a full list of updates. Note that the Master High School List will be updated in the next release.
If you created a “crosswalk” from our portals to your local data in your SIS/CRM, you may need to update this crosswalk for the newly-added options. For guidance on the optimal implementation of the new values, review the Shared Lookup Table Updates page.

WebAdMIT Sandbox Environment Refresh
Are you utilizing the WebAdMIT Sandbox? If not, you should be! Sandbox is a duplicate test platform useful for testing and training purposes; any actions performed in Sandbox will not affect the live data in production. This tool provides users with a safe, “near-production” environment to test applications and run sample exports, among other actions. The WebAdMIT Sandbox is a copy of the WebAdMIT production environment with sensitive applicant information (such as surnames, email addresses, etc.) obfuscated.
The WebAdMIT Sandbox is refreshed between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. ET every Monday. If Monday is a US or Canadian holiday, deployment is the next business day and includes all system changes from the preceding release. The WebAdMIT Sandbox environment is refreshed with current (cleansed) production data and program configurations. Any test exports, custom fields, etc., in the current Sandbox will be overwritten.

2025 Discover Nursing School Virtual Fair
NursingCAS hosted its sixth annual Discover Nursing School Virtual Fair on October 14, 2025. The event was offered to NursingCAS participating schools and provided programs with a live, online platform to chat virtually with prospective nursing students throughout the day.
68 schools of nursing participated in the Virtual Fair. California and Illinois had the highest number of participating schools (8 each), followed by Florida and Texas (7 each). All degree levels were represented, with master’s degree programs making up the most-represented group (28%), followed by bachelor’s (27%) and doctoral programs (26%). 21 degree types and 29 degree tracks were represented at the fair.
1,663 students registered to attend the Virtual Fair, hailing from 39 countries, 46 states, 5 Canadian territories, and the District of Columbia.

Q: What updates can applicants make to their application once it is submitted? How can I identify new and updated applicants?
A: The Academic Update (AU) window lets applicants update planned or in-progress coursework. For the current NursingCAS cycles, updates are available within the following timeframes:

Note that the following application materials can be updated after an application is submitted. More information on post-submission updates can be found in the CAS Application Locking Behavior resource.
- Transcripts
- Letters of evaluation (i.e., recommendations)
- Foreign evaluations
- Official test scores
The WebAdMIT Dashboard features a Recently Updated Applicants panel to identify applicants who have updated their application after submitting. This panel includes a Section Updated column identifying the associated update (e.g., Current Mailing Address). Applicants also appear in this panel when they first submit their application. The List Manager tool also allows you to search for application updates that are most important to your admissions process.
For a full overview of these processes, please visit the Identifying New and Updated Applicants resource in the WebAdMIT Help Center.
