Annual Spring Lookup Updates
Many fields in the Applicant Portal contain predefined answer values that applicants can select; for example, the Country and County fields both have predefined answer values. These values are housed in shared "lookup tables." Periodically, we update these tables to include additional response options.
The new lookup table values include updates to colleges, ISO codes, majors, and minors. Review the Shared Lookup Table Updates page for a full list of updates. Note that the Master High School List will be updated in the next release.
These lookup table updates impact the following portals, some of which you may use. If you created a "crosswalk" from our portals to your local data in your SIS/CRM, you may need to update this crosswalk for the newly-added options. For guidance on the optimal implementation of the new values, review the Shared Lookup Table Updates page.
TOEFL Scoring Changes
Starting January 21, 2026, ETS's TOEFL exam introduced a new 1-6 scoring scale for each section and overall total score. This new scale is more directly aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). To accommodate this, the following changes were made:
- Applicant Portal: Applicants can report their scores in both the old and new scoring scales in the Standardized Tests section.
- CAS API: The CAS API Application response models (v1 & v2) have been extended with the following two new JSON nodes to support these changes: academicHistory->tests->reported->TOEFL2026 (for applicant-reported tests) and academicHistory->tests->official->TOEFL2026 (for official tests). For more information, including supported properties under each node, see the application response models on the CAS API Swagger page.
- Liaison Analytics: TOEFL scores on the new scale are available in the existing TOEFL dashboards.
- WebAdMIT: A new set of TOEFL-related fields for this new scoring scale is available: Applicant Reported TOEFL Banded, Official TOEFL Banded, and Official TOEFL MyBest Banded. You must add these fields to any place you may already pull in TOEFL fields (e.g., lists, exports, scoring, etc.).
If you have data integrations set up for WebAdMIT or the CAS API, you must review and update them to import the new TOEFL scores into your target system. Be sure to review your target system first so you know what adjustments to make. For WebAdMIT, we recommend adding the new TOEFL fields to your exports.
Important: When you receive official TOEFL scores taken after January 21, 2026, ETS will provide the historical scale equivalent for only the overall total score (i.e., both a 6 on the new scoring scale and 120 on the old scoring scale). ETS does not provide the historical scale equivalent for any section scores (i.e., you only get a 4 on the new scoring scale for the Reading section). Be sure to review all your templates and imports to accommodate the new scoring scale and capture the data you need.
Pixel Tracking Configuration Data Included in Export File
The export file in the CAS Configuration Portal now includes a sheet for pixel tracking configuration data. All programs are included in the sheet, even if they don't have pixel tracking set up; this makes it easier for you to see which programs have pixel tracking activated.

WebAdMIT Sandbox Environment Refresh
Are you utilizing the WebAdMIT Sandbox? If not, you should be! Sandbox is a duplicate test platform useful for testing and training purposes; any actions performed in Sandbox will not affect the live data in production. This tool provides users with a safe, “near-production” environment to test applications and run sample exports, among other actions. The Sandbox is a copy of the WebAdMIT production environment with sensitive applicant information (such as surnames, email addresses, etc.) obfuscated.
The WebAdMIT Sandbox is refreshed between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. ET every Monday. If Monday is a U.S. or Canadian holiday, deployment is the next business day and includes all system changes from the preceding release. The WebAdMIT Sandbox environment is refreshed with current (cleansed) production data and program configurations. Any test exports, custom fields, etc., in the current Sandbox will be overwritten.

Q&A
Q: Where is the best place to pull data for reporting purposes?
A: Applicant data can be exported through either WebAdMIT or Liaison Analytics, two different systems with two distinct purposes. While WebAdMIT is used to manage your application process, communicate with applicants, and move them through your workflow, Liaison Analytics is used for data analysis and reporting, compiling applicant data, and helping to organize data to answer strategic questions.
What is Liaison Analytics?
As applicants apply to your program(s), the data that they enter in the NursingCAS application feeds into Liaison Analytics, where it’s aggregated and visualized for you. By converting raw numbers into visual representations and customizable dashboards, Liaison Analytics makes it easier to communicate data to stakeholders of various levels.
Below are some of the key features of Liaison Analytics:
- Interactive dashboards enable you to quickly assess applicant metrics on one page, including applicant volume, year-over-year changes, key cycle dates, test score distributions, and applicant demographics.
- Built-in filters allow you to segment and explore your applicant population by sex, race and ethnicity, application year, citizenship, and more.
- Custom or predefined cohorts can be created to measure performance against peers.
- Exporting features can provide summary or full data in a variety of formats, including CSV and crosstab.
- Data visualizations can be saved as images or PDFs for use in presentations and reports.
- User accounts can be managed independently by your team, and you can onboard new users quickly and securely once an administrator is designated.
How do I create an account?
- To obtain a Liaison Analytics account, contact your school’s main WebAdMIT/Analytics administrator. If you're not sure who this is, contact support.
- Once your account is created, you can access Liaison Analytics here: https://analytics.liaisoncas.com/analytics/ui/login.
- If you are an existing user trying to create accounts for other users, review the Managing Users in Liaison Analytics section.
