Application Tips
Contact References Early
If your program of interest requires references, it is best to contact them sooner rather than later. Provide them with plenty of notice and specify a clear deadline for when they should submit the reference. Also, be clear on the school's instructions. Know the type of reference needed and the specific details to include.

St. Mary's College of California
Ready to become the nurse your community needs? Saint Mary's College of California is now on NursingCAS and accepting applications for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Our BSN is fully accredited by WASC and approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, so you'll graduate prepared for the NCLEX and ready to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care.
Now enrolling for Fall 2027: 50 seats are open, and the application is live now through October 15, 2026. Planning ahead? Spring 2028 applications open soon.
A pathway built for where you are: Whether you're coming in with a bachelor's, an associates, or prerequisites completed elsewhere, you can earn your BSN in as little as two years, including summer terms. No TEAS exam needed to apply. You'll take it before classes begin, so you can prep while you complete your Core.
Your first semester explained: Before nursing classes start, you'll spend one term completing our Core Curriculum. It's more than a box to check. The Core is where you learn to think across disciplines, wrestle with the questions that shape a life of service, and grow as a whole person, not only a clinician. Ask our graduates what stayed with them, and this is often the first thing they name. The rhythm is simple: a Fall nursing start means finishing your Core the spring or summer before, and a Spring start means the fall before.
