The 2026-2027 NursingCAS Application Cycle Opens August 6, 2026
The 2026-2027 NursingCAS Application Cycle opens on August 6, 2026 and includes programs that begin in Summer 2027, Fall 2027, Winter 2028, and Spring 2028. Here’s what you need to know to be prepared for the new application cycle:
- Still interested in applying within the 2025-2026 cycle? Submit your application for the current cycle by 11:59 PM EST on January 29, 2027 to be considered by your program of interest (note you must abide by your selected program’s deadline).
- Need to roll over your application into the new cycle? Once the 2026-2027 NursingCAS application cycle opens on August 6, you can create a new account or log back into an existing account using the Re-Applicant feature. This allows you to carry over your data and transcripts from your previous NursingCAS application to the 2026-2027 application.
- Do you have any additional questions about the new cycle? Find the answers in the New Application Cycle FAQs.
Reminder: 2025-2026 Academic Update Window Open Through August 21
The 2025-2026 Spring/Summer Academic Update (AU) window opened on Monday, May 25 and will close on Friday, August 21. What does this mean for you?
The AU allows applicants to update final grades for previously entered planned/in-progress coursework (i.e. Spring 2026) or enter newly-planned coursework (i.e. Fall 2026) since NursingCAS verification. Applicants are eligible for AU if at least one of their programs is in "Verified" status by the AU request deadline. Application status can be viewed under the Check Status tab in NursingCAS. Upon submission of the AU request, NursingCAS will verify the applicant’s new grades, calculate an updated GPA, and send this information to their programs. While an AU is optional, some programs require this information for admissions consideration.
Students are encouraged to submit their request for new transcripts to their Registrar’s Office ASAP to allow plenty of processing/mailing time.
Don’t wait to get started! Review and complete the three-step process by August 21.
