The configuration portal for the 2022-2023 NursingCAS cycle will open on Tuesday, May 24. AACN is providing three webinars focused on configuration training and marketing/branding your NursingCAS program pages. Register to attend a NursingCAS: Configuration Overview Webinar on Tues., June 7 at 2pm EST or on Mon., June 13 at 3pm EST. Each school should have at least one WebAdMIT administrator (if not all!) participate. Access to the Configuration Portal in the Prelaunch environment is required for all programs and allows you to edit program pages, features, and requirements for the upcoming cycle. Configuring and submitting your pages is required every year for your program to launch.
The webinar will also cover steps to configure your application, tips for cycle rollover, and important changes. The 2022-2023 cycle will open on Thursday, August 11. The deadline to complete configurations and submit your programs for review is Wednesday, June 29 to ensure your programs will launch on August 11 and receive applications.
While not required to launch on August 11, we encourage schools to consider this date to maximize recruitment exposure for your programs. For all programs submitted for review AFTER June 29, users must email Karen Jacobs and Joe Clark to notify them of submission and allow for a two-week turnaround/review/edit period before programs will be approved and launched. As the AACN and NursingCAS team has 3,000 program pages to review, we request your support in meeting these deadlines.
The Configuration Overview webinar will cover the following topics:
- Part-Time/Full-Time Program Status: Display the status of your programs
- 2022-2023 Cycle Dates: Get key dates for the upcoming cycle
- Deep Links: Guide applicants directly to your pre-filtered programs on the Add Program page
- Best practices: Suggestions for closing out a cycle and preparing for a new cycle, information on configuration portal terminology, and a step-by-step CAS rollover process explained
- Seamless Admissions Strategies: Tips on improving your program’s home/branding page to increase recruitment efforts, communicating program changes to applicants, and integrating applicant data with campus systems.
The third webinar, NursingCAS Branding and Program Page Best Practices, will be held on Wed., June 1, 2:30pm EST. This webinar will provide an overview of how to design NursingCAS program pages to help your nursing school’s recruitment efforts. This webinar was developed with insight from AACN and Liaison staff after reviewing 3,000 NursingCAS program pages this past cycle. Learn best practices to help students more easily navigate your NursingCAS page and apply to your program.
