Programs often extend their deadlines in order to allow applicants more time to complete the admissions process. Review the list below to see if any programs you are interested in have extended their deadline.

 Open Seats

Ashland University

Ashland University has open seats in all undergraduate and graduate nursing programs; apply today!

Traditional BSN—a four-year, on-campus program with interactive, state-of-the-art, simulation labs along with core, and clinical nursing coursework that prepares students to become Registered Nurses.

Accelerated Nursing Second Degree Program—an on-campus program designed for students who have a bachelor’s degree in another field, but wish to become a Registered Nurse (15 months/4 semesters).

RN to BSN (online)—designed for working professionals who are licensed as Registered Nurses or preparing to complete their RN licensure. *RN-BSN new tuition rates are $265 per credit hour; $215 per credit hour for Corporate Partners.

Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP)—flexible, online format with occasional on-site requirements throughout the program. Specialty tracks include Family Nurse Practitioner (BSN to DNP), Health Systems Leadership (BSN or MSN to DNP), and Advanced Practice Nurse (MSN to DNP). *Nurse Faculty Loan Program also available!

School Nurse Program—post-bachelor certificate program consisting of online coursework and a 160 to 320-hour internship in a school setting. Completion prepares students to practice as a professional School Nurse in alignment with the ANA and NASN Scope and Standards of Professional School Nursing Practice.

Nurse Educator Certificate Program—teaches nurses how to teach in a nursing education program or healthcare setting. 12 credit hours of graduate-level online coursework and 48-hour practicum/project.

Belmont University

Belmont University is located in Nashville, Tennessee. Since 2004 (14 years) 100% of our MSN and DNP graduates have passed the national certification exam for FNPs on their first attempt, well above the national average pass rate of 84%.

Each of our graduate nursing programs – the BSN-to-DNP for Family Nurse Practice (FNP), the MSN-to-DNP, the MSN for Family Nurse Practice (FNP), and postgraduate APRN for Family Nurse Practice – have open seats for Fall 2019. All of these programs, except the MSN-to-DNP, are offered in a traditional classroom format on our campus. The MSN-to-DNP program is offered in a hybrid format that combines online study with once-a-month classes on Friday afternoons & Saturday in Nashville.


Holy Names University

We have a very limited number of open seats for our Family Nurse Practitioner program for Spring 2019. All other MSN programs are open for enrollment. We are accepting applications now for our BSN program and will begin to review them this December. The BSN program will begin in May 2019, in our summer semester.


Roseman University of Health Sciences

Greetings from Roseman University of Health Sciences!

Roseman University offers an 18-month Bachelor of Science in Nursing program designed to prepare students for entry-level registered nurse positions in a variety of healthcare environments. Roseman University of Health Sciences has two campuses; our home campus is located outside the Las Vegas Valley in Henderson, NV. Our sister campus is located just 20 minutes south of Salt Lake City, UT. Graduates will use critical thinking skills for effective problem solving, decision-making, and independent judgment to provide culturally competent and developmentally appropriate care in the practice of nursing and to function as a member of a healthcare team.

Union College – Nebraska

Union College, one of the top nursing programs in Nebraska, is currently accepting applications for our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program for August 2019 – APPLY TODAY!

University of California – Irvine

Doctor of Philosophy Program

The UC Irvine, Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing offers a course of study leading to the doctor of philosophy (PhD) degree. The purpose of the PhD in Nursing Science is to:

  • Advance the scholarly discipline through innovative empirical research and theory development
  • Contribute to the growing body of knowledge in the field
  • Create the future academic leaders of the profession

As a PhD graduate of the UC Irvine School of Nursing, you will be equipped to advance the science of nursing as well as to address the critical shortage of nursing faculty with PhDs.

Applications are accepted between September 4th and March 1st for the following fall quarter entry. The priority deadline for applicants who would like to be considered for School of Nursing scholarships is December 1st. Applications will be reviewed and admission decisions will be made on a rolling basis after the December 1st deadline.

University of Tennessee Health Science Center

College of Nursing at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) is proud to announce our opening of three Post-DNP Certificate programs for Fall 2019.

Admission: Post-DNP Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate, Post-DNP Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certificate, and Post-DNP Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate.

The Post-DNP certificates are offered online to DNP-prepared APRNs who are certified in another specialty. Please read detailed program information and admission requirements on our website.

This is the first time the College offers the Post-DNP Certificate for Fall admission. To be considered for Fall (August) 2019 entry, Please submit your NursingCAS application by January 15, 2019.
