Managing Overlapping Cycles
The 2025-2026 NursingCAS cycle launched on August 7. The current 2024-2025 cycle will remain open through January 29, 2026. With two NursingCAS cycles open simultaneously for 5 months, it is important that users accurately update hyperlinks so students can access the application in the correct cycle portal. We highly recommend that users place “Apply Now” buttons throughout their college website to easily direct students to the application in multiple places. Please reference the URL and Hyperlinks page to review your options.

WebAdMIT Sandbox Environment Refresh
Are you utilizing the WebAdMIT Sandbox? If not, you should be! Sandbox is a duplicate test platform useful for testing and training purposes; any actions performed in Sandbox will not affect the live data in production. This tool provides users with a safe, “near-production” environment to test applications and run sample exports, among other actions. The WebAdMIT Sandbox is a copy of the WebAdMIT production environment with sensitive applicant information (such as surnames, email addresses, etc.) obfuscated.
The WebAdMIT Sandbox is refreshed between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. ET every Monday. If Monday is a US or Canadian holiday, deployment is the next business day and includes all system changes from the preceding release. The WebAdMIT Sandbox environment is refreshed with current (cleansed) production data and program configurations. Any test exports, custom fields, etc., in the current Sandbox will be overwritten.
Professional Transcript Entry
The Professional Transcript Entry (PTE) service allows applicants to have specialists enter their coursework for an additional fee. This service is only available for completed coursework from accredited schools and can be used once an applicant has submitted and paid for their application.
Nearly 18% of applicants utilized the PTE service in the 2023-2024 cycle. Please note that 4.1% of applicants who used PTE did not approve the completed entries. Make sure to remind applicants that their applications cannot be verified until this step is complete. To quickly identify applicants that used PTE, you can filter applicants by the PTE Status field, available in the List Manager and Export Manager under the Applicant field grouping.
For more information on PTE, visit the Understanding the PTE Process resource in the WebAdMIT Help Center and review the PTE Overview resource available to applicants.

Q: What GPA customization options are available through NursingCAS?
A: NursingCAS automatically calculates several GPA types, including:
- Year-Level GPAs: Using Quality Points, NursingCAS calculates a GPA for each academic year. GPAs from your Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years are subsequently combined with any post-baccalaureate coursework to create a cumulative undergraduate GPA, and then combined with any post-baccalaureate and graduate coursework to create an overall GPA.
- Course Subject Category GPAs: Course Subject Category GPAs are based on your overall GPA in each course subject category, regardless of academic year. During verification, NursingCAS ensures course subjects are placed in the correct categories so that GPAs reflect the appropriate coursework. Subject categories include:
- Biology/Chemistry/Physics GPA
- English GPA
- Mathematics GPA
- Other Science GPA
NursingCAS also gives schools the option to create Local GPAs, which allow you to create a customized GPA from all classes in desired subject areas, classifications, and academic years. Once a Local GPA is configured, each applicant has a GPA calculated based on their applicable classes. Local GPAs are also available when working with Lists, Exports, and Scoring. The Local GPAs feature is available under the Management panel, and access to this tool is controlled through Work Groups.
For more information how to build Local GPAs, visit the Working with Local GPAs resource in the WebAdMIT Help Center.
